Replacement running rigging is available from Westsail Parts at reasonable pricing. This includes halyards, sheets, reefing lines, running back stays etc.

Some pricing examples below are for reference only, please email or call for an exact quote, There are a lot of variables on what’s right for your boat and a lot of price fluctuation on costs these days.

For the Westsail 28 or Westsail 32 we recommend 7/16" line for all halyards and sheets.

The W28 Standard Set of Running Rigging is (3) 80' halyards to masthead, 60' staysail halyard, 80' mainsheet, 80' jib sheet, 50' staysail sheet

The W32 Standard Set of Running Rigging is (3) 100' halyards to masthead, 70' staysail halyard, 90' mainsheet, 90' jib sheet, 50' staysail sheet

On the Westsail 42 or Westsail 43, 7/16" line can be used for the halyards, and 1/2" line for the sheets.

The W42/W43 standard set of running rigging with a 50’ mast is (2) 110’ halyards, 105’ spare, 80’ staysail halyard, 110’ main sheet, 130’ jib sheet, 75’ staysail sheets

The W42/W43 standard set of running rigging with a 55’ mast is – (2) 120’ halyards, 115’ spare, 90’ staysail halyard, 110’ main sheet, 130’ jib sheet, 75’ staysail sheets

The W42/43 with a Mizzen would have a 70’ halyard and a 50’ sheet

It is recommended to use different colors of fleck in the lines to help with easy identification of them. For example, Green fleck for the main sheet and halyard, Red fleck for the jib halyard and sheets, Black fleck for the Staysail halyard and sheets. If you run the halyards back to the cockpit, or have an extra large jib, be sure and specify that you do when you order, so that we can add sufficient length to reach as needed.

The current lead time with the creation and splicing is around 10 business days.

The below are only examples of pricing to give a rough idea of cost. There are many factors that affect the costs, such as the type of shackles used, length of line and type of line. The materials used in the examples are New England Ropes Sta-Set Double Braid for the lines. The shackles for the Jib and Staysail are SS Wichard Snap Shackles w/ Swivel Eyes and for the main it is a SS Wichard Headboard Shackle.

Note that for mast lowering, the mainsheet on the W28 has to be 105’. For mast lowering on the W32 the mainsheet has to be 120’.
